Join us for a discussion with APT Fellow Rosa Lowinger on the themes of her 2023 memoir, the first such book written by a preservation professional for a general audience. Lowinger, who will be the Keynote speaker for the 2024 Docomomo US symposium, intertwines stories of her work in conservation with her family's history as double exiles from Eastern Europe to Cuba and then the United States as a means of understanding how to manage intergenerational trauma. In this online session, she will discuss how preservation practitioners can use their own experiences to promote understanding of our work to general audiences.
