Ohio Valley ChapterThe Ohio Valley Chapter of APT is based in Indianapolis and reaches out to preservationists in Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana. Our group is young, energetic, and growing. Since the chapter was established in 2002, we have organized a diverse range of events throughout our region, including presentations on historic flooring materials and the use of infrared thermography for moisture detection; a demonstration of masonry-restoration products; a forum on the advantages and disadvantages of using liquid-siding products on historic structures; a "hard hat" walking tour of historic row houses in Lawrenceburg, Indiana; and a tour and discussion of preservation goals for the historic Newcome Tavern log structure in Dayton, Ohio. Membership in the Ohio Valley Chapter is automatic with APT International membership and residency in this region. Those interested in participating in the events of the Ohio Valley Chapter are invited to review our newsletter or contact one of our officers. Chapter Officers: Scott Drake, President |
