Québec Chapter

The Quebec chapter of APT, referred to as "APT Québec", is led by eleven members in good standing with APT International, including nine architects: Alexandre Savignet, Lena Buchinger, Francis Vanasse, Giovanni Diodati, Émile Gilbert, Emily Beauregard, Nathalie Duchesneau, Raymond Cherrier, Laurent Généreux; one engineer: Patrick Ouellet; and a heritage consultant: Émilie Vézina-Doré.

Since 2015 APT Quebec has partnered with Action Patrimoine with whom they coordinate events such as Fenêtres traditionnelles en bois, principes de conservation. 

APT events bring together architects, urban planners, conservators, restorers, firms and companies working in the field of heritage restoration, representatives of clients, artisans, engineering firms, students in heritage-related fields, and representatives of various levels of government.

Thème annuel
APT Québec propose ce printemps une journée de formation sur la restauration et l’entretien des fenêtres de bois :  Fenêtres traditionnelles en bois, principes de conservation.

La matinée débutera par une série de conférences sur les techniques de restauration et d’entretien des fenêtres. L’après-midi sera consacrée à différents ateliers sur les techniques de restauration (décapage, masticage, peinture) en compagnie de Vincent Madore, artisan ébéniste. Pour l’occasion, les participants pourront mettre leur nouveau savoir à l’épreuve.

Conference theme:

APT Quebec is offering a one-day training session this spring on the restoration and maintenance of wood windows: Traditional Wood Windows, Principles of Conservation.

The morning will begin with a series of lectures on window restoration and maintenance techniques. The afternoon will be devoted to various workshops on restoration techniques (stripping, puttying, painting) with Vincent Madore, artisan cabinetmaker. For the occasion, participants will be able to put their new knowledge to the test.

The conference will be offered exclusively in French.
