Learning Objectives:

      • Understand the history and background of different documentation methods and how those documentation methods can contribute to a successful preservation, rehabilitation, or adaptive reuse construction project.
      • Identify the pros, cons, and best use of each documentation method, and how accurate documentation of a project site can contribute to a more efficient, safe, and successful project.
      • Apply best practices in documentation to ensure successful project deliverables, mitigate risk and error, and deliver a useful project outcome.
      • Understand how three-dimensional digital documentation data can be used to develop a documentation strategy plan and how additional project information can be incorporated into the BIM for future site and project management.
